Rainy Days and Mondays

Ok, so you are off on a LONG walk and the weather turns to custard...dark, rainy, cold. What to do? Stop and take a day off?
Keep on trekking? Hmmmm Decisions, decisions.

Having your plan INCLUDE not-so-pleasant weather is necessary. Lightweight rain gear is a must for your backpack.
If the weather is not threatening, you may find the walk more refreshing than on a warm, sunny day. However, if lightening or severe weather is nearby, take a safety break. Find shelter and hopefully, you can make up the time lost. But if you've alocated time for such weather-events, you will still be on schedule
Just plan ahead. Be in close contact with your support team/driver. Scout out safe places to stay until the storm passes by.

Otherwise, enjoy a walk in the rain....like you did as a kid!
